Marco Mazzanti is a writer with great potential that has assets of two other novels: "The ship of destiny. Asia," always Deinotera Publishing, and "Demetrius Green Hair" for publishing Eiffel.
The novel "The man who painted with knives" arises from a short story author, entitled "violet" and listed at the end of the book.
I must say the idea is very interesting. Dmtrj is a young albino regains sight thanks to the intervention of a magician, and discovered the color, passion for art is so insane, so they begin to classify people according to their colors. Loves to paint with knives and, of course, from here to use the human skin as a canvas is a short step.
His story intersects with that of Shiloh, son of a witch who works as a prostitute for a living but at the same time takes revenge for his destiny by killing customers.
The novel is written very well, especially because it can make the ideas of colors with words, not an easy task. Alternate first-person shares with others in third giving the movement which keeps track of both characters. Unfortunately
is short, very short. Things happen too quickly, without deepening. Especially the character of Shiloh has just revealed it is a shame, because he had great potential.
The whole book would have to take back and riscirivere much more extensive, I'm sure that would make a masterpiece, because, again, the idea is very good and the author we can do with writing.
